Scrum Process at Evoke
- Evoke Scrum teams have 2-3 week Sprint cycles
- Evoke Scrum teams are integrated teams
- Team comprises of
- Product Owner
- Business Analyst
- Developers and Tech leads
- Tester (s)
- Scrum Master
- Developers sign up for work in the Sprint Planning meeting that happens on the first day of the Sprint
Collaboration
- Teams have daily standup call not exceeding
15 minutes. Team members are updated on the
progress made. The three questions are answered as
- What work was done that day
- What work is planned for next day
- Impediments for next day’s work
- After the standup call, an hour is blocked for technical
discussion if required
- Developers share the work in progress frequently with
Product Owner so that they both are on the same page
Testing
- Unit Tests are written as part of development
- Code Reviews are held before code is checked in
- The Testers write test cases which are approved by
the Product Owner/ Business Users
- The new functionality is verified using test cases and
regression tests are run on the whole application
- At the end of Sprint the functionality is demoed to the
Business Users
Product Backlog
- At the end of Sprint, a retrospective is held.
Discussion is held on the topics as
- What went well
- Areas for improvement
- Periodically new stories are discussed, estimated
and added to the Product backlog
- Story Points are used for estimation of stories & defects
