Hyderabad, India, August 14, 2014: As part of its ongoing CSR activities, Evoke Technologies organized a unique cycling event to raise community awareness among IT employees about conserving the environment. The CSR committee of Evoke received tremendous response after the announcement of this event, a lot of employees were very keen to participate in this unique event and spread awareness about conservation of our environment, which is depleting rapidly.
 
The Go Green initiative was labelled as ‘Eco-Ride’, as the theme revolved around spreading awareness about keeping our environment clean and green. The participants were sporting specially designed T-shirts for this occasion, which were specially designed to spread the message of environmental awareness. The CSR committee of Evoke Technologies, which organizes such events on a regular basis, was overwhelmed to see the interest exhibited by the employees.
The ‘Eco-Ride’ event started around 11 AM from the Hyderabad Bicycling Club (HBC), which was the designated starting point, after the chequered flag was waved by Ramesh Madala, Managing Director of Evoke Technologies. The route was planned in such a way, that it covered most of the prominent IT companies, as the intent of the ‘Eco-Ride’ event was to spread awareness among IT employees.
The event was also widely covered by prominent media outlets and they also interacted with the employees of Evoke Technologies. Speaking on this occasion, Ramesh Madala said “We took up this go green initiative, as we wanted to motivate young people to utilize public transportation, bicycles and carpooling, which would help in reducing community’s carbon impact.? Also interacting with media personal, Mr. Harish Peddineni, Senior Deliver Manager, Evoke Technologies said “We have been gifted with this wonder nature by our predecessors, and it is our responsibility to protect it, nurture it and pass it on to our future generations.?
All due safety precautions were taken by the CSR volunteers and first-aid was kept handy, in case of any emergency. The Eco-Ride participants after covering major IT companies along the way took a U-turn from In-orbit mall and headed back to HBC, marking the end of the event, which was highly successful in creating awareness about our environment. Although, it was a regular cycling event, yet it was successful in grabbing everyone’s attention to the cause of keeping the environment clean.
The CSR committee also interacted with various media outlets and highlighted the motive behind conducting this event. The motto of the event was ‘Let’s ride for a clean and green environment’. It was Evoke’s unique way to show the world that we care about our environment and our community.
